Riley Earns His Wolf

Riley's first Bear Requirment : Making a cake with a Scouting Theme (it's a wolf :))
Riley being a model of what the scouts wore on their heads 50 years ago.

He earned his wolf, a gold arrow of light, and four silvers! That means he worked hard.

Pinning his only girl with a Mother's Pin.

Three generations of scouts.

Our Riley David worked for a full year on earning his Wolf badge for Cub Scouts. We pushed really hard this last month to try and make it so that he could get it by the Blue and Gold Banquet, which was REALLY special because it was the celebration of the 100 year anniversary of the Boy Scouts of America! Good job Riley. It was a really great evening, my parents and Josh's came into town, and the Neilson family gave spectacular talks on the history of scouting, and Amy Hughes was great getting the boys to do a skit for us. We love that Riley is learning and growing through scouts.

This really was a special evening. Riley has the perfect Daddy. (Well, not to mention OUR perfect daughter as his Mother!!!) Josh knows all about being a good Scout as his Dad was a good example for him. The three generation picture is precious! My hats off to Amy for leading these young boys. They are a hand full. We are extremely proud of Riley. Great job Grandson!!! Love, Nana and Papa
