What a fun trip! We went with our friends Jayson and Natalie, and their two kids, Preston & Allie. Thursday we threw the kids in the car and where off. We enjoyed the drive immensely, Josh and I listened to Fly Boys, a very informative, but at the same time a devastating story of WWII POWs on Chichigima. We arrived in Bellvue, and stayed at the Courtyard Marriott. The kids thought they had died and gone to heaven..."It's so beautiful." Aren't kids the best, the appreciate the simple things in life. Friday, we went down to the Seattle Temple grounds, and showed the kids all the fountains and what not. The statues were just neat. Afterwards, we went into downtown Seattle! We ate lunch at Ivar's, and walked the board walk, and continued down to the aquarium! We then ventured over to Pike Street Market, it was fantastic, I wish we could of gotten some of those fantastic flower bouquets! This day wasn't quite finished yet, Jayson and Natalie had suggested that we go to the Alehouse across from Safeco Stadium for dinner. It was a long process, thankfully we had some time to kill before our first major league baseball game! After dinner we walked across the street to the Stadium, we stayed for about 2 hours, pretty good with a 7,4, 2 two year olds, and a 2 month old. Sadly the ol' Mariners lost, and we got back to the hotel and crashed!!! Saturday we were tuckered out. We mustered up some gusto and drove out to Woodland Park, to the aminals (spelled Ethan style). Our favorite creature was for sure the gorillas. Towards the end we were all hungry, tired, and happy to be leaving the big city, but before we could do that we had to hit Kate's favorite restaurant, PF Changs. Yummo! I thought it was the last time I could have it for a while, well come to find out there is one in Spokane!! Cheers to a great weekend vacation!
